"POLITICS IS A VERY DIRTY GAME"

When you look up the sleeve of a politician in general, it seems quite convincing that politics is a dirty game and its not everyone's piece of cake.
Politics is everywhere. At school,college,office,heck sometimes even at home.
Then how can the city i am currently residing in be left behind.

POLITICS AND MANIPAL...!

A Decade ago Manipal University was given an affiliation of deemed university by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Before being called as a deemed university, Manipal Academy of Higher Education was under the VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University).

The VTU is a state university of Karnataka. It gave affiliation to most of the colleges in karnataka.
There were various student unions during that time which looked after the problems and welfare of the students.

Elections were conducted during those times to select the student union leaders and the union secretary who look after all the various unions at different colleges at different places..!!!

Even manipal was not left behind in the game of politics...!!!
There were several student unions,which still operate in the local colleges nearby.

Some of the unions of that time are JDSU( Janta Dal Youth Congress) and a Youth Congress, both the unions are sponsored by their respective political parties.
These political parties fund the unions for their campaign and during elections.
These funds are used to help them win their elections which help them gain various positions and power within the district and the college level.

During these times along side elections a lot of illegal activities are also done.....there has been various incidents of shootings,killings,bribery,booth capturing,etc. etc.

Finally the union which gets the highest no. of votes wins the elections and among them the ruling union is formed.....and then the president and the vice president is chosen with the various students forming the students council.

Mr. Bipin Ray, a former district union president and the present co-owner of ENIGMA(a famous pub in manipal) said that politics at those time were very violent game to play, but with the manipal university becoming deemed,political parties have been kept at bay.
He also said that he was once attacked by various people during the election times, during which he cut one of his thumbs(showing up his left hand) with a healed up bruise over his thumb.

I also tried to contact Mr. Sandeep Singh a pass out of the 1998 batch for his comments on the politics at those times,but he was unavailable for any comment.

And our university is a politics free environment.....!!!

Color of the day...!!!

Have you ever thought how your day has went by???

If u really think hard, we can easily notice that our life is just a blank page & where we are left with a big box of colors in our hand.

Our day turns out to be the way we want it to be.....that means we choose our own color,each day,each morning.
Coloring it all day long with different colors,different shades,different strokes.

And keep on coloring till the night creeps in....filling the page with blackness.
This blackness stops us for coloring anymore,and as the night ends....the page is flipped.
Flipping over to a fresh start.

That's why colors play such an important role in our life.
Reflecting ourselves to others................reflecting our thoughts,our mood,our attitude,our lifestyle and mostly one's nature.

Colors help us in saying what we have in our mind.

Movie time.....!!!!! How to download 1 using torrent...!!!!

Hello movie lover....if ur reading this then ur probably interested to know how to download a movie...using torrent.

So.......first of all my sincere wishes,.....aah leave all that.....what i was saying is,first of all u need is a downloader.....better u go for utorrent....its faster n quite famous.....now remember these steps r important n involve a little work.

first go to www.utorrent.com then download the stable software not the beta version.....

then install it....then log on to any of these sites given below.

www.isohunt.com
www.demonoid.com

www.thepiratebay.org
www.torrentz.com

www.mininova.org

then search the movie u want...then download the torrent file or open it with utorrent.

now ur probably wondering how to choose the right file...that i hv explained BELOW.

when u download it u hv to open it or it will automatically add itself to utorrent

next is u hv to add it... after adding choose the file then right click it...put bandwidth allocation as high.

then again go to bandwidth allocation but this time go to set upload limit click the least u see.

now repeat it till u set the upload limit to 1 kb/sec

now ur good to go.....but first.....left click the file....u will see a small divider at the bottom......there u can see many tabs out of which u hv to
choose the files tab...then wat u will see is a file or a list of files n then choose it, then right click it n set it at high priority.

then leave it....u will be given a speed.....n ETA(estimated time for completion).


NOW HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TORRENT FILE.....

It is usually good to go for torrents with high no. of seeders...

also see the no. of leechers......usually it doesn't matter.....anyways choose the the file u want to download...

then go as per the steps given above.

Studying In an Engg. college-1

Education..........is it a boon or a curse........?

Well,The answer depends on to whom one is asking this question....?

A engg. student will definitely say it a curse.......

WHY?

If you are or had been a part of the engg. community then u probably know the answer.

If not then......please read on.......

Well the answer is simple......has anyone ever asked a engg. student what he goes through these rigorous 4 year.......the pain ,the pleasure,the fun,the sorrow.

Getting an Engg. Degree from any college wether good or bad.....one has to go through a series of fortunate as well as unfortunate events...

But yes, getting a engg. degree from a good college has its own benefits....

Anyways what i am trying to say is that after reading this please don't feel pity when u see a engg. student.

They are the warriors of our steel world. I know so much because i am a part of it too.
